Vanderbilt will coordinate an appointment or transfer for you.
The Transfer Center was created to assist referring physicians and facilities in quickly and efficiently transferring patients to Vanderbilt.
It is staffed by an R.N. Transfer Nurse during regular business hours and LifeFlight EMTs or Paramedics at night and on weekends.
The nurse will obtain information about the patient and put the referring physician in touch with the appropriate VUMC physician. Once approval has been obtained to transfer the patient, the Transfer Nurse will handle the logistics of the transfer.

Vanderbilt Burn Center Outpatient Clinic
The Vanderbilt Burn Center provides evaluation for burn injuries and follow-up care to burn patients in the Burn Clinic. Our Burn Clinic offers complete care to encourage wound healing and prevent disability. Our experienced team offers support, understanding and education for patients and their families.
