At Vanderbilt Health, Samuel collaborates on a broad portfolio of clinical and translational research, including transplant science through the Vanderbilt Center for Transplant Studies (VCTS), the Dose pediatric obesity randomized trial, pediatric otolaryngology outcomes research, COVID-19 therapeutics through ACTIV-6, and critical care and sepsis research through VICTAS. His work includes supporting both observational studies and clinical trials, with involvement in study design, data management, statistical analysis, interpretation of findings, and preparation of results for presentations and peer-reviewed publications. His expertise includes EHR and REDCap data management, including API-based workflows; development of statistical analysis plans; interim and DSMB reporting; power and simulation studies; and advanced statistical modeling approaches such as matching and propensity score methods, logistic regression, survival analysis, longitudinal models, and generalized estimating equations. He also has extensive experience developing reproducible statistical workflows and translating complex analytic results into clear, interpretable findings for clinical investigators and multidisciplinary research teams.
