While all providers have experience in office-based orthopedics and sports-related care, Student Health also has two board certified Sports Medicine physicians on staff. These specialists can help with acute and chronic injuries. These specialists can also order radiological tests or arrange for physical therapy. Student Health stocks braces, splints, crutches that are available at no cost to students.
The Sports Medicine doctors come to Student Health from the Medical Center as a convenience, and they will bill your insurance company after your visit. The cost for your visit will be determined by your insurance company's co-insurance or co-pay structure for outpatient visits. This bill will come from the Medical Center and not from Student Health.
