Launched in January 2018, “Innovation Activists: Designing Health Care’s Future” is a podcast series that addresses some of health care’s biggest challenges. It provides innovators – past, present and future – with practical advice on how to design a future that better serves our patients, colleagues, organizations and society.

Hosted by Department of Radiology chair Dr. Reed Omary, “Innovation Activists” welcomes guests with diverse backgrounds and expertise for a fun and upbeat shared-learning experience.

ABOUT THE HOST

Reed Omary, MD, MS

Reed Omary, MD, MS, is the Carol D. and Henry P. Pendergrass Professor and Chairman of the Department of Radiology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) in Nashville, Tennessee. In addition to his radiology leadership at VUMC, Omary co-leads the Medical Center’s strategic planning efforts and is the director of the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine’s Medical Innovators Development Program. He is also an avid public speaker who promotes innovation in health care within multiple national radiology organizations and for the general public via his podcast, “Innovation Activists: Designing Health Care’s Future.”
