Guest Ambassador
Volunteers will help patients and families who need assistance. Meet, greet and escort patients and visitors around the hospital during their stay or visit.
- Volunteers Needed: 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday
- Volunteer Shift: 2-3 hours/week
- Minimum age: 16
Music
Clinics/Outpatient areas: You can share your musical talents by providing soft, relaxing music for patients, guests and staff as they arrive. Music sets the tone for a calm environment. We only accept acoustic music. Must have own instrument. Limited opportunities.
- Volunteers Needed: Times vary, limited opportunities.
- Volunteer Shifts: 2-4 shifts per month
- Minimum age: 16 years for outpatient areas
Pet Team Visitation
Teams (volunteer and therapy dogs) visit with patients and families. Teams must be certified through Therapy Animals (ITA), Pet Partners, or Therapy Dogs International (TDI) before attending hospital training. Click here for more info.
- Volunteers Needed: Monday-Friday, hours based on volunteer schedule and clinic needs
- Volunteer Shifts: 2 hours/week or alternate weeks
- Minimum age: 18 (must be trained and certified by Pet Partners)
Outpatient Physical Therapy
Observe and assist staff as they evaluate and treat primarily patients with orthopedic diagnosis. Subspecialties within outpatient orthopedics include Sports Medicine, Spine, Joint Replacement and general orthopedics.
- Volunteers Needed: 9am-12n or 1pm-4pm, Monday-Friday
- Volunteer Shift: flexible, based on clinic schedule and needs
- Minimum age: 18
- If a school letter of recommendation is need, a 6-month minimum commitment is required.
Outpatient Occupational Therapy
Observe and assist staff with organizing area and coordinating patient flow within the outpatient rehabilitation setting.
- Volunteers Needed: 9am-12n or 1pm-4pm, Monday-Friday
- Volunteer Shift: flexible, based on clinic schedule and needs
- Minimum age: 18
- If a school letter of recommendation is need, a 6-month minimum commitment is required.
