Bret A. Mettler, M.D.

Bret A. Mettler, M.D. is the Assistant Professor of Pediatric Cardiac Surgery in the Department of Cardiac Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. After obtaining his medical degree from the University of South Dakota, he finished his residency at the University of Michigan. In his clinical practice, Dr. Mettler specializes on treatment of complex neonatal congenital heart disease, mechanical circulatory assistance, cardiac transplantation, and repair of congenital valvar anomalies.
