Leader Response Resources

If you or your staff experience a workplace violent event:                                    

• Remove yourself from the situation, if safe to do so
• Notify Leadership (AC/Manager/CSL-RSL/Attending)
• Call VUPD or police department, if needed             
• Utilize de-escalation tactics when possible
• Document the incident in VERITAS
• Follow-up with any employees involved and offer resources and support
• Follow the procedures outlined in the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for your entity
