AAMC awards second place prize for innovations in research and education

Congratulations goes to Kathy Gould, PhD, Associate Dean for Biomedical Sciences, Robert Carnahan, PhD, Associate Professor and Kimberly Petrie, PhD, BRET Director of Career Development, for designing and implementing the Business and Management Principles for Scientists course which was selected as the second place winner of the AAMC 2016 Innovations in Research Education Award. The 2016 award highlights innovations in PhD, MD-PhD, and postdoctoral education nd training, or early career development that enhance the institutional research mission.A major goal of this award is to identify bright spots and disseminate innovations.

 The winners will be formally announced and awards presented at the 2016 GREAT Group and GRAND Professional Development Meeting in Rosemont, IL (Sept. 29- Oct 1). Vanderbilt will also receive a $3,000.00 cash prize.
