Educator Development Core Mission
The mission of the Educator Development Core (EDC) is to provide educator development initiatives across the VUSM continuum serving students, residents/fellows, and faculty through UME, GME, and Faculty development.
Health sciences educators along the educational continuum require continual development to ensure that educational practice is informed by medical education research and aligned with best practices. The School of Medicine offers a range of programs and activities designed to increase the skills of both faculty and non-faculty educators (e.g., residents), and programming is available to educators of various experience levels and interests. Efforts to enhance educator skills include UME, GME and faculty-level programs.
