Dr. Neil Osheroff chaired the “Fifth International Conference of Biochemistry Course Directors,” which was held May 3-7 in Santa Fe, NM. The conference had 101 attendees from Schools of Medicine, Pharmacy, and Dentistry in the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean. At the meeting he presented a plenary talk on the “Integration of Basic Sciences into the Clerkship Years” by Neil Osheroff, Lourdes Estrada, and William B. Cutrer and facilitated a discussion session on “Integrated Centralized Curricula: Impact on Departments and Course Directors.” After the conference, Neil Osheroff transitioned from being the Chair of the Association of Biochemistry Course Directors to being the Past-Chair.
