Dr. Joey Barnett represents VUMS at ORPHEUS 2016

Joey Barnett, PhD, Assistant Dean of Physician-Researcher Training and Director of the Office of Medical Student Research (the Inquiry Program), recently participated in the annual congress of ORPHEUS (Organisation for PhD Education in Biomedicine and Health Sciences in the European System) entitled: “Lost in Translation? From medical studies to clinical research”. He presented a poster abstract, which he co-authored with Luke Finck, EdD, MA, Assistant Director of the Office of Medical Student Research (the Inquiry Program), entitled, “Inquiry Program: A 4-Year Research Curriculum in Undergraduate Medicine”. Dr. Barnett also presented on “MD, PhD training in the US” at a workshop on MD, PhD programs and gave a plenary lecture entitled “NIH-sponsored initiatives in Ph.D. training in the US – enhancing outcome and impact”.
