Patient recruitment, sample collection and CT image archival for lung cancer screening

As a clinical/translational research coordinator in the lab, my responsibilities include recruitment, informed consent, sample collection, and data input for the lung cancer screening studies currently in progress in the laboratory. Lung cancer screenings for both insured research participants and those who are medically underserved are performed. Lung cancer screenings consist of annual chest CT scans, sputum analysis, nasal and buccal swabbing, urine sampling, and blood collection.
