The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) appointed Jesse M. Ehrenfeld, MD, MPH, director of the Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin (AHW) Endowment and senior associate dean at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) School of Medicine effective September 1, 2019 . . . .

As of July 2019, Del Ray Zimmerman was named Director, Program for LGBTQ Health and Office for Diversity Affairs. He assumes the senior administrative duties for the LGBTQ Health division, and will also oversee several major ongoing projects for the Office for Diversity Affairs. Zimmerman manages the operations functions of the LGBTQ Health Program, acting as the program's internal (VUMC/VUSM) and external representative, and supervising internal staff. He remains the main point of contact for most LGBTQ Health Program issues.

Please join Tara McKay, Assistant Professor of Medicine, Health, and Society, and Dr. Jesse Ehrenfeld, Professor of Anesthesiology and Director of the Vanderbilt Program for LGBTQ Health, as they present the new documentary film TransMilitary at Sarratt Cinema on campus at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5. One of the film's stars, Laila Ireland, a retired transgender army combat medic, will be in attendance and hosting a Q&A after the film screening.

Dr. Shayne Taylor, medical director of the new Vanderbilt Clinic for Transgender Health, will be delivering LGBTQ Grand Rounds from noon until 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 14 in 208 Light Hall.  Dr. Taylor will be providing an update on the new clinic, which opened on Aug. 24, and offer important information on the care of transgender patients.
