Hema Preethi Subas Satish

Hema Preethi Subas Satish is a postdoctoral research fellow in the Georgiev laboratory. She did her undergraduate studies in her hometown Chennai, India, following which she received a Masters in Biotechnology from The University of Queensland, Australia. Hema graduated with a PhD in Medical Biology from University of Melbourne, Australia in August 2022. During her PhD, she worked in Dr Ruth Kluck’s lab at Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research and investigated the killing of cancer cells by delivering antibodies inside cells and also developed NAb-seq, a new workflow for antibody gene sequencing. In the Georgiev laboratory, her research will focus on applying antibody discovery technologies (LIBRA-seq) against various pathogens. Outside of the lab, she loves hiking, baking and spending time with her cats.
