Emilee Friedman Fechter

Research Assistant III

Emilee is from Augusta, Georgia, and earned her Master's degree in May 2018 from Georgia College. During her undergraduate studies at Augusta University, she conducted research on the proliferation of pancreatic cancer cell lines, and her graduate thesis research focused on the re-localization of cellular proteins during adenovirus infection. Emilee has received awards for her work from both the American Physiological Society as well as the Georgia College Department of Biological Sciences. She has a particular interest in virology and immunology; her publications can be found in the Georgia Journal of Science and Molecular Carcinogenesis. Outside of the lab, Emilee enjoys traveling, geocaching, and hiking with her wife.
