Nina Bozhanova, Ph.D.

Research Fellow (Joint with Dr. Jens Meiler)

Nina graduated from the Lomonosov Moscow State University (Moscow, Russia) in 2012 with an M.S. in Biochemistry and Virology. She continued her education in the Shemyakin-Ovchinnikov Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry, Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow, Russia) and obtained her PhD in Molecular Biology in 2017. Nina's dissertation focused on rational protein design for advanced microscopy techniques. With interest in computational protein design, Nina started her postdoctoral training in Dr. Jens Meiler's laboratory at Vanderbilt University. She is involved in Crowe Lab — Meiler Lab collaboration projects. Nina uses various computational tools for antibody structure prediction, antibody design, and modeling of antibody-antigen interactions to better understand the relationship between antibody sequence, structure, and function.
