Merissa is the project management lead for the Crowe Lab. Merissa first joined the Vaccine Center in 2010 as a student worker. She began working for Vanderbilt Center for Neuroscience Drug Discovery as a Program Assistant in 2012. While working for this department, she was in charge of coordinating pharmaceutical site visits, recruitment visits, arranging travel for faculty and staff, and other various administrative tasks. Merissa rejoined the Vaccine Center in 2015 and serves as Sr. Program Manager for the Crowe Lab. She coordinates multiple projects for Dr. Crowe including the logistical management of collaborations, donor recruitment projects, intellectual property, and other areas that cross between lab and administration. She is a member of National Council of University Research Administrators, Society for Research Administrators International, and the Project Management Institute. She obtained her PMP certification in March 2018.
