Deandre Dukes

Rev. Deandre Dukes is a native of Atlanta, GA and presently resides in Nashville, TN. An ordained Elder in the Baptist Faith tradition, he holds an earned B/A in Christian Counseling Psychology from Toccoa Falls College in Northeast Ga, a Master of Divinity with a concentration in Black Church study from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. He is currently a doctoral student at Vanderbilt University where he is concentrating on the integration of chaplaincy care and mental Health. Before relocating to Nashville, he was a hospice chaplain. He completed two previous units at Winship Cancer Center, Emory, and Northside Hospital of Atlanta where he focused on units of Hematology/Oncology, infectious disease, and perinatal loss. Prior to becoming a chaplain, he served as a children’s and youth pastor for over a decade. He is passionate about journeying with people through the turbulent times in their lives and providing sacred space for individualized care and inviting and empowering people to tell their own story.
