The Medical Center’s partnership with local hotels to provide nearby temporary housing options is now open to all employees who work with or near patients.
Staying in one of these rooms allows employees to avoid long commutes, helps minimize potential spread of COVID-19 to employees’ family members (or other individuals with whom they share a residence), and gives them a nearby place to recharge.
Located within walking distance of the main campus, the hotel rooms will be offered at a low co-pay per night for eligible employees. VUMC employees primarily assigned to units with a high concentration of patients who have tested positive for COVID-19 can take advantage of the hotel stay program.
Employees can stay at the hotel as long as two weeks. Stays can be extended as needed.
The team has made it easy to request a room, confirm the offer, and check in at the hotel. In most cases, employees can have a room the next day.
