Congratulations to Meganne Muir for her presentation of Increasing Word Learning Efficiency in Children who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing through Retrieval Practice at the Symposium on Research in Child Language Disorders (SRCLD). This is a current project being researched by Dr. McDaniel and the CLIMB looking into using retrieval practice to improve word learning in deaf and hard-of-hearing children. Meganne is a Doctoral Student working for the CLIMB Lab with areas of interest in best practices in auditory verbal therapy, parent training, and deaf/hard-of-hearing children with additional disabilities.

Adri Valtierra and Meganne Muir gave their presentation on The Influence of Length and Context on Reliability of Language Sample Sample Measures in Deaf and Hard of Hearing Children at SRCLD. Adri is another one of the CLIMB Lab's Doctoral Students with interest in language and literacy development in deaf and hard-of-hearing children with a consideration for how clinicians can better understand, assess, and support these skills
