Post-doctoral positions in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center are available for individuals with an interest in musculoskeletal research. Individuals will have an opportunity to independently direct and manage research activities. This will include overseeing a high-level research team, developing and submitting grant proposals, participating in data management activities, analyzing data, and generating manuscripts for peer-review publication.

Research Staff Positions
Full-time research coordinator positions are available in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Responsibilities include patient recruitment and follow-up, maintaining and updating study documents, data management, and ongoing communication with provider co-investigators and participating clinics. Applicants with patient experience and strong project management skills are encouraged to apply.
A full-time research analyst position is available in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. This position will involve providing statistical support for faculty and staff and data management and quality control for a spine surgery registry. The position would provide an excellent opportunity to gain experience with registry data and patient-reported outcomes. A key responsibility of this position will include using statistical software applications to assemble, manipulate and/or format data reports. Applicants with a Master’s degree and 2 years of experience or equivalent, quantitative field preferred, are encouraged to apply.

Summer Clinical Research Internship Program
Archer Orthopaedic Research Lab has a summer clinical internship program for undergraduate students earning a four-year degree and medical students. This program is designed for students interested in a career in medicine and clinical research. Participants will complete a research project under the directorship of a research mentor and have an opportunity to observe clinical patient care while spending time with residents and attending physicians. Applications are accepted in the fall for the following summer.
