Rural Healthcare Providers Symposium (RHPS)

Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center in Nashville, TN hosted its first Rural Healthcare Providers Symposium on February 27^th & 28^th , 2020. The goal of this event was to develop a network of primary care and oncology providers to foster collaborative research and practice initiatives to improve cancer prevention, early detection and care delivery. In a time of much needed conversation around rural health, many attendees traveled from afar to engage in this important dialogue.

Topics covered include: cancer control & care delivery with an extra focus on rural counties, rural health challenges & opportunities, cancer prevention & early detection, utilizing partnerships to improve cancer prevention, treatment, & outcomes, telehealth efforts, and resources for rural providers.
