VUMC's Global Support Office provides guidance regarding export compliance, wherein certain activities, items, or information are subject to specific controls and restrictions. Please consult VUMC Export Compliance's website if a project meets any of the following qualifications:
- Hosts foreign nationals in lab (students, postdocs, staff, visitors)
- Involves foreign travel
- Involves shipping or carrying items internationally
- Performs field research
- Accepts any restrictions on research or publications
- Trains foreign students on research protocols or equipment
- Has international collaborators
