Metformin Study

A study evaluating the treatment of overweight induced by antipsychotic medication in young people with ASD . The purpose is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of treatment with oral Metformin vs. placebo to decrease weight or weight gain associated with atypical antipsychotic medication in children (ages 6-17 years, 4 months) with ASD.

Adult Autism Study

A  randomized, double-blind, 12 week study to investigate the efficacy and safety of RO5285119 in adult (ages 18-45) males with Austism Spectrum Disorders.  We are conducting a study looking too see if a new medicine is safe and if it helps with the social and communication deficits found in autism spectrum disorder. We are looking for adult males ages 18-45 years old with an autism spectrum disorder.

GI/Stress Study

This study is examining the connections between stress, gastrointestinal (GI)/stomach problems, and autism spectrum disorders (ASD). We are looking for children age 6-18 with autism spectrum disorders with and without GI problems.
