Who is Eligible...
To be eligible, you must be: Pregnant (any stage), 18 years old or older, planning to give birth at VUMC, the child’s biological father’s participation is preferred but not required.
Why Join...
This study should help us understand allergic diseases better, which may make future clinical testing and treatment easier! As a study participant, you and your baby will get extra care that may help evaluate allergies and can improve your baby’s health.
- If your baby has an allergy, we’ll likely identify it earlier than you normally would at home and we’ll be able to provide you some guidance
- If the allergy testing is negative, that can be reassuring to families that are anxious about the introduction of foods.
