NASHVILLE, Tenn. Caleb Miles had just finished a midterm renal exam when he learned about the Student National Medical Association (SNMA) Region X Conference. He and a friend had just finished eating at a restaurant, and on the drive home that friend suggested he enroll.
“I was nervous,” Miles recalled. “I’d never done it before, and there’s this kneejerk reaction to not do it.”
His friend, however, encouraged him to present.

Study Recruitment
Faculty members at HBCUs are invited to engage in a Conversation Café: a creative, interactive and user-friendly method of data collection. The topic of this Conversation Café is about the barriers and facilitators to research productivity.
The Conversation Café is part of a research study entitled OHD PRIDE. This study was granted a waiver of consent and is funded by the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute.
Lunch will be served.
