Note: To take advantage of the online exam prep opportunities you must meet the following requirements:
- A score of ‘3’ or higher on the last Performance Evaluation
- In good standing; not on an active performance improvement plan at the time of course enrollment
- Approval of the immediate supervisor
- Meet the requirements of the approved credentialing agencies
MAs are encouraged to take advantage of the exam preparation opportunity before taking the certification exam, but this is not required.
Medical Assistants are required to keep their certification up-to-date. It is the medical assistant’s individual responsibility to maintain records of recertification due dates, education records, and renewal requirements from their certification agency.
