Bio:
Amanda Oakes completed the Specialty Track in Pediatric Hearing Loss at Vanderbilt University and has been
working as a speech-language pathologist at the Vanderbilt Bill Wilkerson Center since 2013. She specializes in
working with children with hearing loss and providing assessment and treatment for patients with complex
communication needs in the area of Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC). Amanda enjoys
spending time with her husband, two daughters, and their dog, playing outdoors, and cheering on the Tennessee
Vols!
