The mission of the P.R.I.D.E. Resource Group is to celebrate the vibrant community of LGBTQ employees at VUMC, and to provide them with the resources needed for growth and development. We champion VUMC’s Strategic Directions of "Making Diversity and Inclusion Intentional” by creating a more inclusive workplace through education, communication, and mentorship.

Join the PRIDE ERG Teams chat and test your knowledge with LGBTQ+ trivia questions that will be posted throughout the day. If you are not a member of the PRIDE ERG chat on Microsoft Teams and would like join, please email pride.erg@vumc.org.
Every Thursday in June – Wear Your Pride
LGBTQ+ members and allies at VUMC are encouraged to wear to work an item of clothing that is the color from a Pride flag they identify with. Please note that clothing items for Wear Your Pride should adhere to VUMC dress code.
Saturday, June 18 – PRIDE ERG Social Gathering
The PRIDE ERG will meet for a brunch at 10:30am at the Lipstick Lounge in East Nashville. If you are interested in attending, please email pride.erg@vumc.org for more information.
Wednesday, June 22 – Pronoun Pride Day
LGBTQ+ members and allies at VUMC are encouraged to wear pronoun pins that state their pronouns. VUMC employees can pick up free pronoun pins at the Program for LGBTQ Health located in Light Hall. In addition, LGBTQ+ members and allies are encouraged to include their pronouns to their Zoom handle and work email signature.
Friday, June 24 – Share Your Pride
PRIDE ERG members are encouraged to share their story. There is no wrong way to share your story – whisper it to your pet, write it down or have a conversation with a colleague, etc. Find the way that is most comfortable for you and take time to celebrate you.
Saturday, June 25 – Nashville Pride Parade
If you are interested in marching in the parade with your fellow VUMC colleagues, please email pride.erg@vumc.org.
