Taylor Boyer

Intern, Program for LGBTQ Health (Summer 2018)

Taylor Boyer is a Master of Public Health student at the University of Pittsburgh (Pitt) Graduate School of Public Health in the Behavioral and Community Health Sciences department. They are passionate about equitable and quality healthcare for LGBT individuals and are completing the LGBT Individuals’ Health and Wellness certificate program at Pitt. Taylor’s specific research interest is in LGBT individuals’ access to care, particularly for transgender individuals. As a career, they hope to assist healthcare centers improve their provision of care to LGBT individuals through welcoming healthcare environments, inclusive patient documentation and records, and culturally competent patient-provider/staff communication and patient-centered care for LGBT individuals.
