She is also heading into her final season of playing for the Vanderbilt women's basketball team. She completed her bachelor's degree at Purdue University in Psychology where she also played basketball. She was given the Leadership and Service award for 2017 by the LGBTQ Center. Bree was All Big Ten Distinguished Scholar Athlete during her years at Purdue, and she was awarded Scholar of the Year in 2018 for Vanderbilt Women's Basketball. She has been completing her practicum placement at the Vanderbilt Program for LGBTQ Health since January, and she says it has been the most rewarding experience. Bree's passion lies in improving the mental health outcomes for LGBT+ youth, and she hopes to obtain a doctorate in clinical psychology after this academic year.
