LGBT-Focused Employee Resource Groups

The Vanderbilt Program for lgbtq Health seeks to create two new employee resource groups for sexual and gender minority employees at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.  An employee resource group (ERG) is a voluntary, employee-led group that fosters a diverse, inclusive workplace aligned with organizational mission, values, goals, business practices and objectives. One group will focus on LGBTQI employees, while the second one will focus specifically on transgender employees. 

Trans Buddy Volunteer Training Set for June 17

Want to become a Trans Buddy volunteer and increase access to care and improve healthcare outcomes for transgender people by providing emotional support to transgender patients during healthcare visits? Trans Buddy Named Strobel Award Finalist

We're very excited that Trans Buddy volunteers are being recognized for their compassion and commitment! The Mary Catherine Strobel Volunteer Awards recognize Middle Tennessee volunteers who give their time and talents to improve the community. In its 31st year, the awards ceremony are Middle Tennessee's largest annual celebration of volunteerism.
