Students from multiple disciplines are welcome to join the Vanderbilt School of Nursing this summer for a summer intensive in Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex (lgbtq) Health. Registration is live for NURS 6091 – lgbtq Health in Inter-professional Practice.
lgbtq Health in Inter-professional Practice is a course focusing on specific healthcare needs (from the perspective of many health-related professions) of people who identify as a sexual or gender minority. Students will interact with inter-professional and -disciplinary team members while developing knowledge and skills to provide expert and equitable care for lgbtq people. Students will engage in learning through readings, synchronous and asynchronous discussions, written assignments and a discipline-specific project. Read more about the course here.
