DIRECTOR OF PEDIATRIC CLINICAL AUDIOLOGY

Clinical Associate/Full Professor: The Department of Hearing and Speech Sciences (DHSS) at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) in Nashville, TN is seeking to hire a Director of Pediatric Clinical Audiology in a 12-month non-tenure track clinical faculty position. Applicants must have a doctoral degree (Ph.D. preferred) in audiology or hearing science, ASHA certification, and eligibility for clinical licensure in Tennessee.

This position is for a candidate who is a clinician-scientist with current or previous clinical and administrative experience in a pediatric audiology setting. Preference will be given to candidates capable of starting at the Associate or Full Professor level. Applicants with a forward-thinking vision and expertise in any area of pediatric audiology are welcome to apply, including inpatient pediatric audiology, assistive hearing technologies, early hearing detection and intervention, or electrophysiology. Teaching experience in a postsecondary educational setting is also desirable as clinical teaching is expected. Clinical research opportunities and collaborations may be available. The Department of Hearing and Speech Sciences is housed on the main medical center campus with multiple satellite clinics in the Nashville metropolitan area. The division of Pediatric Clinical Audiology includes an interdisciplinary clinical staff of audiologists, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, teachers of the deaf, and hearing and speech technicians.  The department includes advanced training opportunities for graduate students, including Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) and pediatric-focused specialty tracks for childhood hearing loss and autism. Overall, our busy clinical enterprise in the Department of Hearing and Speech Sciences sees approximately 85,000 patient visits annually. Our academic programs are CAA accredited, and the Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology training programs are highly ranked (#1) by US News & World Report.

DIRECTOR OF OUTPATIENT PEDIATRIC SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY

Clinical Associate/Full Professor: The Department of Hearing and Speech Sciences at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) in Nashville, TN is seeking to hire a Director of Outpatient Pediatric Speech-Language Pathology in a 12-month non-tenure track clinical faculty position. Applicants must have a doctoral degree (Ph.D. preferred) in speech-language pathology, ASHA certification, and eligibility for licensure in Tennessee.

This position is for a candidate who is a clinician-scientist with administrative and clinical experience in an outpatient pediatric speech-language pathology clinic setting. Preference will be given to candidates with an expertise in augmentative and alternative communication, autism spectrum disorder, bilingualism, specific language impairment, or speech sound disorders. Teaching experience in a postsecondary educational setting is also preferred as classroom and clinical teaching opportunities may be available.
