Caregiver Support

At Vanderbilt we understand that family members are an integral part of the healthcare team.  We also know that the role of a caregiver can be challenging in many ways. Those caring for loved ones with dementia are at a higher risk for burnout. We believe caring for families is an essential part of caring for our patients.

Nashville FTD Caregiver Support Group

If you have a loved one with Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD), we welcome you to join our Nashville FTD Caregiver Support Group. This group provides a place for family members and friends of those with FTD to share their experiences and offer support to each other.

  • Our group is facilitated by a social worker and program manager who have professional experience in FTD.
  • The group meets on the first Monday of every month at 5:30 p.m. virtually (Teams).
  • This group occasionally host guest speakers for educational value.

Email Emily Smith at emily.smith.3@vumc.org if you are interested in attending our support group.
