Caroline De Schacht is the FGH Evaluations Director, based in Maputo. She is responsible for the development and implementation of FGH program evaluations. Caroline has over 25 years of experience in global health. Prior to joining FGH, she worked as an HIV clinician and technical advisor in several resource-limited countries, including Mozambique. Her work experience in Mozambique includes program management and coordination with international, national and local partners, as well as capacity building in both clinical and research methodologies. Caroline graduated from medical school at Ghent University, Belgium. She has a diploma in tropical medicine from the Prince Leopold Institute of Tropical Medicine in Antwerp, Belgium, and a Master of Science in clinical trials from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She obtained her PhD in biomedical sciences from Ghent University, specializing in the prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT) of HIV in Mozambique.
