The Expansion & Transition Department manages occupancy of clinical and administrative spaces throughout the Medical Center, Clinic buildings, and associated ancillary departments. We assist with office moves, department relocations, new construction, renovation, and furniture projects throughout the facility.
Scope of Service:
- To facilitate space/transition management of the adult hospital and clinics on the main 21st Avenue Medical Campus. This includes participation in space design, assignment, development and execution of occupancy, operations, education and orientation along with move planning for new spaces, renovation projects or changes in functions of existing spaces in conjunction with Space and Facilities and Unit/Departmental staff.
- To influence patient, staff, and visitor satisfaction through helping to maintain a clean and pleasing environment. To accomplish this, we set standards and provide furnishings for patient and clinic environments, participate in multidisciplinary facility rounding and execute work orders for needed repairs; conduct needs assessments of inpatient units, common areas and clinics to facilitate repair and or/replacement of non-capital furnishings and equipment within budgetary guidelines; conduct Spring and Fall cleaning and serve as a liaison for the "one call" resource to help facilitate facility repairs, furniture or emergent cleaning needs.
