Hannah York
Master of Science in Medical Physics Student
Hannah York is a graduate student in the Medical Physics Masters program at Vanderbilt University. She received a Bachelor of Science in Biophysics from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) in 2022, with minors in Chemistry and Philosophy & Law. In 2023, Hannah joined Dr. Eley’s lab, where her research focuses on radiation therapy and its applications in cancer treatment. Over the summer, she spent three months at GSI Heavy Ion research facility in Darmstadt, Germany, investigating radiation transport for a carbon ion beam therapy aimed at treating pediatric glioblastomas. Outside of her research, Hannah enjoys hiking and exploring new coffee and pastry spots in Nashville.
