Melanie Leguizamon

Melanie Leguizamon is an undergraduate student majoring in Cognitive Studies; Child Development; and Medicine, Health, and Society, with a minor in Neuroscience. She recently defended her thesis as part of the Honors Program in Psychological Sciences and upon graduating in May 2024, she will be continuing her work in the Claassen and Donahue Labs as a Clinical/Translational Research Coordinator. She first joined the labs in 2022, she has spent her time applying deep learning algorithms to structural MRI to investigate perivascular space changes in relation to impaired glymphatic clearance in neurodegenerative disease state. Following her time at VUMC, she plans to apply for her PhD in Clinical Psychology.
