Dietetic Intern Scholarship

The VUMC Dietetic Internship Scholarship for Historically Excluded Groups is available for students enrolled in the VUMC Dietetic Internship program. Inclusion of historically excluded or underrepresented groups can strengthen the food, nutrition and dietetics profession and help meet the needs of an increasingly diverse population. Interns are given the option to self-identify in one or more of historically excluded or underrepresented groups based on ethnicity, gender, or military status.

During internship orientation in August, students receive application information. Applications for the VUMC Dietetic Internship Scholarships are due in December, reviewed by a Scholarship Committee, and awarded in the spring. The number of scholarships and the amount of scholarship awards will vary from year to year, based on funds available. Alumni of the VUMC Dietetic Internship fund the scholarships; no stipends or additional opportunities for monetary support are available.
