Abstract
The Sequential Organ Failure Assessment (SOFA) and quick SOFA (qSOFA) scores replaced the Systemic Inflammatory Response System (SIRS) criteria for defining sepsis, and are often utilized to identify infection, however remain understudied in surgical populations.
