Research Topic: Multimorbidity in Northern India: Prevalence, Correlates, and Associated Mental and Physical Health Impacts

Dr Priti will spend her fellowship year at Centre for Chronic Disease Control (CCDC) in India under the mentorship of Dr Sailesh Mohan (PhD), Additional Professor Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) and Dr Shivani Patel (PhD), Rollins Assistant Professor, Emory University. Her study aims to characterize the prevalence, correlates, and mental and physical impacts of multimorbidity in villages in Northern India.

Dr Priti received her MD from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India, and did most of her research work at Centre for Chronic Disease Control (CCDC), New Delhi as a post-doctoral fellow and Senior Research Associate. She ultimately hope to participate in global efforts at improving chronic disease by collaborating with colleagues across the world to develop, test, and disseminate novel ideas about chronic disease care delivery and its implementation.
