Dr. Mussa Kelvin Nsanya will spend his fellowship year at the Mwanza Intervention Trials Unit (MITU) within the Tanzania National Institute for Medical Research (Mwanza centre) under the mentorship of Dr. Robert Peck, M.D., Dr. Daniel Fitzgerald, M.D and Dr. Saidi Kapiga M.D.

His research will focus on blood pressure changes among adolescents in a cohort of secondary school students in Mwanza -Tanzania.

Dr. Mussa is a research medical doctor employed with the Mwanza Intervention Trials Unit (MITU). He has an M.D degree from Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS), Dar es Salaam – Tanzania. He completed his internship at Bugando Medical Centre in Mwanza – Tanzania.

He is currently taking courses for a Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology and Health Services Research at Weill-Cornell University, New York.

His main research areas has been on non-communicable diseases particularly hypertension and diabetes in low and middle-income countries.
