Dr. Keating will spend her fellowship year at Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre in Moshi under the mentorship of Catherine Staton, MD, MScGH, Blandina Mmbaga, MD, MMed, PhD, Melissa Watt, PhD and Jeff Robison, MD. Her research will focus on a mixed methods study that aims to understand the epidemiology of injured children and the barriers to care perceived by family members and providers in order to develop a health systems intervention that improves care of injured children in Tanzania. Dr. Keating received her undergraduate training at the University of Notre Dame and completed her doctoral training at Mayo Medical School before pursuing her internship and residency training at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children's Hospital. She is currently a fellow in Pediatric Emergency Medicine and Global Health at the University of Utah, where she also completed an MSPH in Public Health.
