The VECD Conference (Chronic Consequences of Global Infectious Diseases) was held in Nashville, TN from January 22-24, 2017. Speakers included Deborah Birx, U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator and U.S. Special Representative for Global Health Diplomacy, Roger Glass, M.D., Ph.D., Director of the Fogarty International Center, Douglas Lowy, M.D., Acting Director, National Cancer Institute, along with other notable panelists from the NIH and leaders of global health.
