Course Description:
Computers will be available to complete online training requirements. If you are not
sure which requirements you need to complete, please ask your supervisor.
If you went through Clinical Orientation after July 1, 2019, you will not need to complete annual requirements such as Mock Code or Restraint check-offs. For specific competency questions, please check with your unit educator.
For unit-specific competency offerings, please check with your unit educator.
Compliance
Licensed staff must maintain current licensure and all required job-specific certifications (i.e. BLS, ACLS, etc.)
Licensed staff also must be in full compliance with Medical Center policies and regulations
Attendance at Hands-On is considered work time. Children or other family members
should not accompany the staff to this event.

N-95 RESPIRATOR ANNUAL RE-FIT TESTING
(Sessions begin approximately every 15 minutes)
Provided by Vanderbilt Environmental Health Services (VEHS)
Required annually for staff who provide care for patients on airborne precautions.
Before attending Hands-On, download and complete the Particulate Respirator Approval Form.
Copies will also be available at Hands-On.

PLEASE NOTE:
In an effort to conserve N-95 respirator use for patient care, the decision has been made to TEMPORARILY
suspend the annual
competency requirement
associated with N-95 until respirator supplies are available.
This will not be available at Hands-On April 1 & 2.

Required for staff who initiate, monitor, and/or remove
a restraint OR any staff providing direct care for a patient in a restraint.
