This capacity-building initiative has been done via short- and medium-term learning opportunities, mentoring arrangements, pairing and mentored research projects. On October 31, 2022, a total of 25 AKTH physicians and faculty members gathered for a 5-day intensive workshop on Qualitative Methods.</p> <p>The Qualitative Methods workshop was facilitated by Dr. Leslie Johnson, Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine, School of Medicine, Emory University. More than 30 health practitioners and researchers gathered to learn about the purpose and value of mentoring relationships from public health leaders, become strong mentors, and develop effective and successful mentoring relationships.
