Andrea Shiakolas, PhD

Andrea worked in the Rollins-Smith Lab as a researcher before graduating from Vanderbilt University. She went on to work at the NIH for a few years before returning to Vanderbilt University Medical Center to pursue her PhD in the Department of Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology in the Georgiev Laboratory. Andrea is the recipient of the 2022 Edward Furgason Jr Award for excellence in research, and she completed her degree in May of 2022.
