Resuscitation training information updates

In response to the evolving COVID-19 public outbreak, Resuscitation Training and Development is implementing the following changes to course operations:

*NEW* We will grant a 120-day extension to course completion cards that expire in March, April, May, and June 2020. Those with current or extended cards should not register at this time.

Effective Wednesday, March 18, 2020, we will only offer courses for initial certification which will include BLS, ACLS Provider (2-day), PALS Provider (2-day), and Heartsaver AED. All PEARS, EOR, ACLS Renewal, and PALS Renewal courses will be canceled until further notice.

Who should sign up for resuscitation training courses in June?

  • Those who need initial certification to meet the requirements of their job at VUMC
  • Those whose certification cards expired prior to March 1, 2020

Effective immediately, we will be un-enrolling anyone who does not meet the criteria for registration above.
