Research Description

Rene Marois, Ph.D., a John F. Kennedy Center investigator and Fellow of the American Psychological Sciences Society, received his Bachelor's degree in Neurobiology from McGill University in Montreal, Canada and his doctorate in Neuroscience from Yale University. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the NMR Center at Yale University School of Medicine before joining the Vanderbilt faculty in 1999. He is Chairman and Professor of Psychology and Professor of Radiology and Radiological Sciences. Research in the Marois lab revolves around the behavioral and neural bases of attention and decision making in the human brain using fMRI as the main investigative tool.
